What Causes Urinary Hesitancy After Taking Depakote?

I take Depakote 500 mg ER tabs at bedtime as I have Bi-Polar manic Depressive Type 2 . Recently the Dr increased my dose to 1,500 mg. Now I have issues with having a hard time urinating, it dribbles and drips, I feel the need to go, I drink plenty of fluids each day, 30-40 oz during nighttime but can t pee when I get up at this higher dosage. I ve been on this Depakote for 17 years. I hear it has long term detrimental effects on my pancreas, liver and wondering if this now includes my Kidneys as well? I have added some 80 lbs of weight since being put on Depakote back in 2001? suggestions. Thanks. I am on SSDI and have no credit cards as I live from one check to the next. I guess nothing is free even from a website that sounds like they want to help someone.
