What Causes Urinary Incontinence And Painful Urination?

Hi, I am a 40 year old female With severe, frequent urinary incontinence. I wear a extra long, maximum absorption pad 24 hrs a day. I have had this for several years and it seems to be getting worse. My current problem is that I am very raw and irritated all around my vagina. I hurt and burn from my urethra to my rectum. It burns when I urinate and hurts to wipe. I have had similar symptoms in the past and was examined by my doctor. He said to try monistat and keep the area dry and clean. It help temporarily but eventually the problem happens again. This time the monistat doesn t seem to be helping except that it gives some temporary relief. What do you recommended that I do in this situation. I feel like I need to see a doctor right now because it is unbearable. Would It be acceptable to go to the Emergency Room because that is the only place open now??? Thank you for your help.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

We have to rule out possible causes like urinary tract infection and renal stones.

Consult a urologist and get evaluated.

A detailed evaluation is required including ultrasound and urine routine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
