What Causes Urinary Incontinence, Constipation And Hip Pain Post A Lower Back Surgery?

10 years ago I had a 3 level fusion in my lower back, which I felt really good until recently. I stated having constipation and incontinence about 1 year ago and then about 5-6 months ago I started having hip pain and now my lower back is hurting. Can this all be related?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Pain in the back with incontinence are well related and for doctors, this is always an emergency. So must not delay a little talking to your neurosurgeon. There may well be other reasons for this but at the moment this backbone problem must not be ignored that is obvious from your case to be the reason for your pain and incontinence.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
