Hello,
As per my clinical experience, many of the times multiple parameters do come into consideration for the vaginal infections associated with urinary symptoms. The common pathogens for the same are E.coli, proteus, candida albicans and others. My guidelines for better recovery:
- Drink more liquids
- Cranberry sachets or tablets
- Anti bacterial (as
nitrofurantoin) and anti fungal agents (as
fluconazole) prescription from consultant
- Vaginal hygiene care
- Avoid use of same tampon for prolong period
- Abstinence from sex if active
- Wipe vaginal area from front to back after washroom use
- Control of blood sugar
- Supportive aid with
vitamin C chewable tablets
- Pre and pro biotics for support of natural vaginal flora
- Balanced nutritious diet to combat the immunity
- Voiding immediately after urination sensation and avoid prolong withholding of urine in bladder
- Avoid use of public urinals till possible
- Anti
histamine as
cetrizine or others for itching purpose
- Vaginal pessaries as fluconazole for 6 nights in selected cases
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
