Clusters of what looks like mosquito bites have appeared on my thighs and buttocks. They also itch and burn like mosquito bites. I have put cortizone creme on them and ice packs. Relief was temporary. Other than that, I feel fine. I am paying attention to my body. This began on Wednesday when I walked about a mile and a half. This is the first time I have walked that far in years. The last time was in a snow storm...this time, in the spring. I think I may have stepped in a grass patch and got swarmed. Your thoughts? Thanks! Not even one freebie? Wow. Nevermind.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your case history of Urticaria, my treatment advice is:
1. Avoid fast food and food with artificial colors for 2 months. 2. Apply a soothing lotion like Calamine lotion on the affected region. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine for 7 to 10 days. 4. Another treatment option is the oral steroid, hydroxyzine taken only after consulting a Dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
