What Causes Vaginal Bleeding, Abdominal Pain And Vomiting In A Child?
My 6year old daughter came to me today will a good amount of blood in her underwear. At first i thought menstral but at her age. We took her to the ER she wasnt running a fever or vomiting or complaining about adominal pain they did take a urine sample and all they said was a UTI.I have never known that a UTI can cause bleeding other then in urine.my question is.Do I need to get a second opinion or is it common to have enough bleeding to get on her close?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain and vomiting of a child. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to certain reasons like UTI , vaginal trauma , hemangioma of the vulva or fungal infection . I would suggest you to take second opinion and start the treatment . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics at least for a week along with anti inflammatory. For now drink plenty of water , eat light , take small meals , take proper rest and take ibuprofen for pain .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
