What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After A Injury On The Buttocks?

Well, I got too busy and I fell again. I fell backward from my top step directly to the pavement - fell on my butt/and side - didn t hit my head. Horrible pain, nothing reduced the pain (motrin or advil) Then I noticed vaginal bleeding - and cramp pain. Went to ER. xrays show that nothing is broken - whew! Doctor was kind of a dork - said that the bleeding and fall were not at all connected. Just a coincidence. He said slowly the fall and the bleeding are only t e m p o r a l l y connected. Then he gave us a long lecture on the difference between correlation and cause - he mis-defined each word by the way - i know this from my phd level education - dork! He was so patronizing. He told me to go home and look it up on Web MD. (can you believe that?) So, I did. He is wrong - a heavy fall can cause vaginal bleeding. I have an appointment with an ob/gyn next week. Why do men think it s okay to pat women on the head and send them home. I saw three men walk in (after me) with minor injuries that were rushed right back into the ER. Meanwhile - I m at pain level 8 out of ten, bleeding, can t sit, dizzy - but I m a woman, I can wait. My sister took me. She was having fits (because she s super smart and knows idiots when she hears them) - a real champion for me. I don t think they ll invite us back - ha ha. Thank goodness for my sister!
