What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After An Ultrasound Test?

I am 49 years old and had a PCSC transplant for AML 17 years ago. This put me into early menopause. I have been on Angeliq estrodial 1mg Drospirenone 2mg for several years. Before that I was on a number of other hormone replacements including monophasic contraceptives and later combination patches.
I do not normally experience any bleeding. About two weeks ago I had an abdominal ultrasound. My endometrium thickness was 11mm with calcification. I coincidentally started bleeding after the ultrasound probably as a result of gastric problems. My general practitioner just suggested that it is time to stop hormone replacement.

Hi,

The bleeding is not related to ultrasound scan.

As a first line of management, you can take transaxle tablets for controlling the bleed.

You have to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated the bleeding at these age group has to be evaluated to rule out certain diseases as endometrial cancer.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
