What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Being 5 Weeks Pregnant From IVF?

Hi doctor I m 5 weeks pregnant from ivf . Two years ago I had normal pregnacy but it was a ectopic pregnancy and left tube took it out. Due to the hcg blood result increase slowly so yesterday I did a ultrasound and they found a sac in the uterus.they couldn t see much they ask me to come on this Friday to do a another ultrasound.. But now I was slightly bleeding no cramps no pain at the moment..I m so panic do I have to go to the hospital.. Thanks

Hi,

Some times embryonic development, such type of bleeding can be due to less supply of hormone (may be due to skipping some medicine or taking it irregularly). You need instant hormone doses in such a case, so that the bleeding can be controlled to save pregnancy.

Please speak and contact your treating gynecologist immediately to assess the present situation and treat accordingly. By the way, you need to take bed rest. Do not move, ask the doctor weather you can come personally and go according to instructions given. Do not stop the medicines already prescribed. Take rest.
