What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Having Sex?

So I had intercourse last night and this morning sometime I had to use the bathroom. I urinated however it stopped suddenly with pain. I saw I them was bleeding. Wondering what could be going on? Only thing that has changed is the type of birth control.

Bleeding could be because of genitourinary infection, any injury during sex, or may be spotting because of periods. Get urine examination done to rule out infection. If its negative then no need to worry.
