What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse?

I've been having sex with my boyfriend for a couple months now and about a month ago I went into hospital with a kidney infection. They gave me antibiotics and with in a week I was feeling perfectly fine again! I had sex with my boyfriend last night and afterwards went to the bathroom and realized I was bleeding. I'm on birth control and have been for a couple weeks and we also used protection. I'm still bleeding a little bit and my stomach kinda hurts and I'm just feeling discomfort around that area

Source of bleeding after intercourse is mostly cervix, the lower end of uterus. Bleeding in your case is mostly related to vigorous sex, low vaginal lubrication etc.Even with a completely healthy cervix, enough friction or mild trauma during sexual intercourse can cause some bleeding
Next time use proper lubrication before sex. Foreplay before sex is important as it produces natural lubrication of vagina

If problem persist & bleeding reoccurs than, Visit a gynaecologist. It need proper clinical evaluation and investigations.
Direct visualization and Pap smear should be done to confirm any pathology. Ultrasound of pelvis can also be be done after evaluation.
