HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are different possible causes for the bleeding and you would need to be assessed by history , physical examination and possibly tests to find the exact cause so that appropriate treatment can be given.

Causes include: (1) infection
(2)trauma
(3)polyps or benign growths to the cervix or uterus
(4)precancerous (not cancerous but can change to cancer) changes to the cervix
(5)cancer of the cervix
(6)vaginal dryness
(7)side effect of medication eg if on medication that increase the chance of bleeding
(8)bleeding disorders

Examination of the vaginal area and cervix would be needed. A swab and papsmear, if there is no recent smear, may also be required.

I hope this helps
