What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse?

Had an abortion at 11 weeks back in September 2016. I waited longer than necessary before having sex again due to the nearly month-long bleeding. However, ever since the abortion, I start bleeding again during or immediately following sex. I am 35, 5 5 , 128 lbs, have dysautonomia, MVP, migraines, sciatica, this was my third pregnancy and the only one I didn t carry to term, I suffer from depression, COPD, and low blood pressure. Why am I bleeding like this?

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Vaginal bleeding after sex is not uncommon and can happen when you're not menstruating or don't expect to be menstruating. In premenopausal women, the source of vaginal bleeding after sex is usually the cervix and causes include cervicitis, trauma, atrophy, hpv infections or polyps.

If you have vaginal bleeding that bothers or worries you, make an appointment with your doctor to get it checked out. If you're at risk or feel you have been exposed to a sexually transmitted infection, see your doctor for an evaluation.
