What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Skipping Birth Control Pills?

Im on the pill and i decided to skip my sugar pills so i didnt get my period and have had it now for 2 weeks. anyway i ended up getting it but when i shower no blood comes out, when i go to the toilet nothing comes out, when i wear a pad nothing comes out only time i ever see blood is if i wear a tampon and the blood ends up being a very dark/lihht colour so i was wondering if it actually is my period or not seeing as i skipped my sugar pills so i shouldnt have got it
