What Causes Vaginal Bleeding And Abdominal Cramps After Taking Postinor 2?

My bf and I had unprotected sex nd we weren t sure if he released in me cos he was still a Virgin. I took postinor 2 and I took the two at once and in less than a week am experiencing light cramping am am experiencing blood coming out of my vagina. What could possibly be the cause and am expecting my menstrual cycle at the end of this month that s the about two weeks from now? What could be wrong doctor?

Hi,

Posting 2 is an emergency contraceptive & it prevents conception by postponing ovulation. The bleeding after a week you have signifies that the hormones are withdrawn from your body &the bleeding is due to this withdrawal.

Your periods would be delayed by minimum a week because of this medicine provided you don't have unprotected sex during the postponed ovulation.
