Over the past couple weeks, I ve bleed a VERY abnormal amount of blood during sex, afterwards there s none, only during. Then after sex I feel a slight pain, more of a pressure on both sides close to under my ribcage. I went to my doctor, she did a pelvic exam and said she saw some discharge. And to take Ibprofuen before sex if possible! I m highly unsatisfied with this visit. Can anyone help me and let me know if this sounds normal? I m worried sick!
Hi, I have gone through your question. Vaginal bleeding during and after intercourse is surely abnormal. It can be due to erosion on cervix, any polyp in vagina or cervix, cervical premalignancy (cervical intraepithelial neoplasia) or cervical malignancy. I would suggest to meet another OBGYN specialist and get thorough internal examination, a pap test (if no lesion is found on cervix and vagina ) and a colposcopic examination, based on pap test result. The cervical cancer needs to be ruled out in your case, as early detection leads to effective treatment. The pain under the ribcage also needs to be evaluated. Please do see a doctor as soon as possible. Hope you found this answer helpful. Wishing you good health.
