General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Vaginal bleeding and vaginal pain post non penetrative sex is caused due to Infection of the pelvic organs (vagina, cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, or ovaries). Infection may be caused by fingering. douching, use of harsh vaginal lubricants, etc. Apart from Bacterial vaginosis, STD infections (gonorrhea, chlamydia, etc.) also manifest similar symptoms.

You are suggested to take care of your hygiene, avoid fingering or sex for a couple of days. Get STD tests done at the earliest, if positive, you will be treated with antibiotics and antivirals. Avoid rough sex. Injuries to the vaginal wall or introitus may cause gonorrhea, chlamydia, yeast infection. Tumors or polyps on the cervix or vaginal wall may lead to vaginal bleeding during or after fingering or intercourse. Get clinically examined and treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
