Hello! I have recently been having issues with bleeding during intercourse. I have been on the birth control shot for about a year now, and I get consistently get the shot every 3 months. My next shot is not due for another month. For about a week now, every time my partner and I have sex, I immediately start bleeding. The first time we experienced this, it was a neon orange looking blood. Now, the blood is thick and bright red. No other symptoms or illnesses and I ve never experienced anything like this before. Help!!
Hi I think you should consult a gynecologist for complete examination. Get a pelvic examination done by a gynecologist to rule out any cervical pathology or infections. You may need a paps smear. You may need some antibiotic and antifungal drugs orally as well as vaginal if any infection is there. Hope it helps.
