Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the past few weeks I have been bleeding after sex for days with cramps. I also have been bleeding after masturbation without any penetration. After the bleeding stops everything goes back to normal. I am on the depo shot. In the past i stopped receiving the depo shot due to continuous bleeding for months.
If bleeding is due to intra-vaginal penetration and masturbation, then there are 2 main things going in my head (correct me if wrong): - Hard / dry sex - Use of hard subjects for the pleasure of masturbating.
Being on Depo, makes your vaginal mucosa more susceptible to bleeding if the above-mentioned situations are true. However, if I was your caring doctor would recommend to check for genital infection. Discuss with your caring gynecologist for the most appropriate tests for you after he/she will run a physical and intra-vaginal examination. Meanwhile keep good genital hygiene.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
