Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently noticed the last three times I had sex there was light bleeding after each time. The blood was reddish orange. I had my second daughter a little over 14 months ago and have a clean bill of health, no STD s etc...I have no pain during sex or after. What could be causing this?
Hello, I had gone through your query and understand your concern.
Short answer: May be due to vaginal tear, No need to worry.
Detailed answer: Thanks for asking on HCM.
A rough sex may sometimes cause minor tear in the vagina which bleeds. Even when there is no adequate lubrication you may develop minor tears causing bleeding. These minor tears will heal by itself. Do not worry. Use lubricating agents. Avoid sex for few days so that previous tears can heal.
Sometimes, these tears may get infected causing pain, discharge. If you develop these symptoms or if bleeding is not reducing even after using lubricating agents then it's better to consult a OB/Gyn doctor.
Hope this helps.
If you have any other queries, feel free to ask.
Regards, Dr.Prathap Kumar
