What Causes Vaginal Bleeding Prior To A Period?

Hi, i have switched birthcontrols a few months ago and i cant figure out why I am still bleeding randomly most of the time two weeks before my period is due. I have had a pap smear and a been tested for stds and everything came back ok .. any suggestions?
