What Causes Vaginal Bleeding While On Microgynon Pills?

I am 17 and seven and a half stone, recently i took two packets of the Microgyan 30 pill, however after sex three quarters of the way through the second pill packet i started bleeding. the blood is very similar to that of a period however there is more of it probably about double the amount. Is this normal or why could this have happened?
