What Causes Vaginal Bleedings While Suffering From Ovarian Cysts?

Two days in a row I had episodes of extreme bleeding from my vagina. I had a period two weeks ago and was not pregnant. There were huge clots and I bled for almost an hour during both episodes. I have never been told I have fibroids but have been told I have cysts on my ovaries. What could have caused this and should I be concerned?

Hi I think you should do a thyroid profile and prolactin level. These can be cause of heavy bleeding during periods. If anything is abnormal, it can be treated. Ovarian cyst if less than 5 cm and if clear in nature resolve on their own. Consult a gynecologist for complete examination. Hope it helps.
