What Causes Vaginal Burning And Dryness In An Endometrial Cancer Patient?
Iam 58 yr old female with hx of metastatic endometrial cancer Stage IvB Gre ade 3 histology. Treated with surgery am nd radiation I m n 2002-2003. For the last few months I have experienced vaginal burnng and vaginal dryness which prompted me to see a gyn onc. In the process of applying lubrication I had felt somethin metallic in my vaginal but could not remove it. When the doc performed his exam it felt a pelvic mass but found no surgical clip like item. He ordered a Ct with dye which revealed a 9mm mass in the sigmoid colon which the radiologist reported as a possible polyp or diverticuli a. I was referred to a GI who performed a colonoscopy in an outpatient surgical suite. He said he did not find the 9mm lesion shown on Ct but did find and remove a 6mm polyp from my rectum He also biopsied several samples from the right side of the iliac region. That was three weeks ago and I have been experiencing I m ncontinence and right sided pelvic pain. When my original surgery was performed in 2002 the surgeon left in a dozen or so of surgical clips. I n the last year I have lost one hundred lbs. Is it possible for the surgical clips to break loose? What else could be causim ng this erthyma in the right iliac region
