What Causes Vaginal Discharge After Taking Emergency Contraceptive Pill?

hello, please i took contra 72 pill after two days of unprotected sex........and i am having discharge. please i will like to know if i this is going to cause any problems. and also i will like to know if i have to take medicine to prevent the discharge

Understand your concern
If it is brown vaginal discharge then it is normal due to withdrawal effect of high progesterone (loss of endometrium support lead to brown vaginal discharge). It will disappear with in 3-5 days.
But if discharge like white/yellow/creamy and associated with foul smells , itching and irritation suggests vaginal infections/STDs.
It should be diagnosed by swab test,CBC, Urine test, DNA test and NAAT test for STDs screening.
Treatment depend on the cause of problem.
Meanwhile apply apple cidar vinegar, wash vagina with warm salted water 2-3 times per day, keep the area clean and dry, change undergarments frequently, avoid sweats in pelvic area, use V vaginal wash to maintain proper pelvic hygiene.
