What Causes Vaginal Discharge And Stomach Cramps After Having An Abortion?

Hi i had an abortion about 6 weeks ago and bled quit heavily and it has just stopped although it was very light for a couple of weeks. I am now waking up with bad cramping but improves throughout the day but it seems to be getting worse. I am not having my period and have been getting quite a bit of discharge could you tell me what could be causing this.
