What Causes Vaginal Discharge While On Birth Control Pills?

I recently started taking birth control about a week and a half ago but today when I went to the bathroom I noticed a long slimy substance coming from my vagina I was on antibiotics during the same time as starting my birth control and my husband and I have had unprotected sex can someone please tell me what this is
