What Causes Vaginal Infection And Discomfort During Urination Post Intercourse?
I had unprotected sex I hadn t had sex for years my partner had blood on end of his penis next dat it was sore while weeing I went to doctors and said id got herpes I also had a full sexual swab test and I had infection wud I have got this through sex
Herpes is commonly transmitted due to oral, anal and vaginal sex. It is sexually transmitted infection and you are likely to get infected if your partner has active infection. This is often caused by HSV-2 however, it could be caused by HSV-1 too. It is highly contagious.
Get clinically examined, both you and your partner should get treated with Acyclovir (Zovirax). The dose will vary depending on whether you and your partner are currently having the symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
