Hi, Welcome to HCM. Two possibilities are there. 1.Other infections co-existing along with Chlamydia might have been missed-- For example Yeast infection, Trichomoniasis or a Bacterial Vaginosis. 2. Treatment for Chlamydia with antibiotics might have flared up the yeast infection. Yeast infection and Trichomoniasis may cause itching. Scratching subsequent to itching leads to irritation and burning sensation of the vagina. Trichomonas and BV can cause odor. A careful examination and investigations on discharge will fix the diagnosis and treatment based on the outcome of the result ensures a total relief. Partner also has to be treated adequately. Abstinence during treatment period is a must. DR S.Murugan
