What Causes Vaginal Irritation And Pain?

More times then not my vagina gets very irritated after my boy friend and I have sex, most of the time it burns when he goes in or it begins to hurt when I urinate (this only lasts for a few hours). I thought i could be allergic to latex but I tried non latex condoms and the burning sensation was still there. What is causing this irritation?
