General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be due to an allergic reaction to the gel used while doing the scan. Another possibility is fungal infection following the procedure.

As the first line of management, you can take antihistamines like pheniramine for symptomatic relief.

If itching persists, better to consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
