What Causes Vaginal Itching And Discharge After Using Monistat?

I have been using monistat 1 for the past 2 months, due to my horrible iching and bad smelling discharge. it helps for a little while then proceeds to get worse. I had believed it was a yeast infection because I usually get them from anti biotics.. could the monistat made this worse?
