What Causes Vaginal Itching And Lots Of Discharge?

my daughter for the past week and a half has had some vaginal itching and lots of dischrge we tried vagisil and her gyno prescribed a pill that was supposed to clear the yeast infection with thin 3 to 5 days. she says she felt a little improvement but now she feels pretty itchy again and she sees lots of dischrage what could it be?
