Hi I am a 44 year old female, I have been treated for yeast infections for the past 6 months, I take the meds and symptoms go away but they return. Every time I have had a pelvic exam it shows NO YEAST, I went to planned parenthood, because they were the only place who could see me soon. I have an itch inside my vagina, I can t wash because it hurts. The doctor said I need to see a dermatologist. I am in pain and no one can help me. I don t have a UTI. i have suffered from yeast for a long time, the meds use to take it away.
Hi, As yeast infection can occur recurrently and causes white discharge or burning during micturition. Since you have kind of pain that you can not even wash with water. My opinion would be get checked by a dermatologist as before it get worse ,should be treated accordingly. As there can be other causes too causing your symptoms ,to rule out that it has to be evaluated by a dermatologist in person. Regards, Dr.Maheshwari
