What Causes Vaginal Itching, Frequent Urination And Lower Back Pain After Periods?

I am 59 and just had a full-blown period. It is over now but I am left with vaginal itching, need to urinate frequently, lower back pain on the right hand side. I can t tell if it s hormones, a yeast infection, bladder infection, or what. I have never had a kidney infection. Thank you

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question. Vaginal itching, frequent urination an lower back pain are suggestive of infection of the genital tract (pelvic inflammatory disease) with urinary tract infection.
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, get an vaginal swab examination, urine examination and ultrasound done, and treated accordingly.
Hope this answers your question.
Wishing you good health.
