What Causes Vaginal Mucus Discharge In An Elderly Person?
I m 64 years old and all of a sudden I ve started having a mucous discharge from my vagina. I haven t had something like this since I had monthly period. I finished menopause at age 49. Should I be concerned and go to my ob/gyn? The discharge is quite alot.

Heavy discharge in elderly need to be evaluated. If there is any blood in discharge or if it's foul smelling or associated with itching then uterine cancer and infection should be ruled out by doing pap smear examination and ultrasound.
