Hello, my girlfriend and I count our days on a calendar app, timing things on her infertile times. She is having strange cervical mucus, and I was wondering if it is a bacterial infection or pregnancy.
Her breasts are sore, but we have taken emergency contraception before, and this is a common symptom for her, as well as skipping her next period, which, although it is strange, has happened before. Something new, however, is a runny, clear-white discharge, which has a strong odor, much like her infertile cm smells.
Just for some information, she has a 36-day cycle, so things are easy to time, but just in case, I always use the withdrawal method, near-perfectly. I say "near-perfectly" because this last time, after I withdrew, I, without thought, reached over for something, putting myself in contact with her. We took emergency contraception l 12 hours afterward, even though she was 6 days past her ovulation period.
She doesn't have any symptoms than her discharge, her sore breasts, and mood swings. One concern I have is that, during foreplay, some bacteria from her anus may have been moved to her vagina. This may seem to bring down the chances of pregnancy a bit, but her cm does not smell like infection. Could this be her vagina trying to flush out bacteria or is it most likely a pregnancy symptom?
It has also been three weeks since her projected ovulation period, her period is, as of March 1st, 1 week and 2 days late.
