What Causes Vaginal Pain Post A C-section Surgery?
Hi Doctor, My wife has just a C section done on 31st october 2016 and have delivered a baby girl. Now from last two days, she is having tremendous pain in her vaginal area. We went to doctor and they have asked for routine examination and urine culture. In urine RE, the test results came as below Albumin: Faint trace Pus cell: 0-2 hpf Epthelial cells: 0-1 hpf R.B.C: occasional rest all are nil. Please suggest what to expect from this now.
There are 2 main things for her vaginal pain: - possible kidney stone passing through the urinary pathways - possible vaginal infection (however you are not reporting any test done such as vaginal swab testing).
Plus, if she is ovulating, and expecting periods, this might cause vaginal pain.
Should treat urinary infection as per urine test report. Should take urine alkalinizer such as cranberry.
If she is constipated, then, should also treat constipation in order to have normal bowel movements. Discuss this with her caring doctor.
Hope this helps. Dr.Albana Sejdini General&Family Physician
