What Causes Vaginal Pain With Red Discharge?

I am having some severe vaginal pain. It is very sore and irritated. I had a brown/dark red discharge a few days ago and now it is bright red, but not heavy like a period. My labia seem to be peeling? Maybe severe smegma. I have not been able to see my doctor since it is the weekend. Any idea as to what this might be?
