What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Finishing A Period?

Hi,i started my normal period on april 5 and finished on the 9.ive been having protected sex,until last night.And this morning ive been spotting like a dark redish brownish.its like a vry light period.this hasnt happend to me before and im worried.I am not on birth conrtol.
