What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Taking Cytotec?

Hi I took 4 tablet if cytotec and I had a little blood stain on my pad and a small blood clot and I continued seeing sign of blood on my part till the second day, then it stopped completely. But sometimes I do feel a slight pain at the lower part of my stomach.... Please I want to know if the abortion was successful... Pls I need A response

Hi, I think you should go for a ultrasound to see if there is any retained products of pregnancy. Ultrasound will be able to tell you if abortion is complete or not. If there are no products, it can be due to some vaginal infection. Get a pelvic examination done by a gynecologist.. You may need some antibiotic and antifungal drugs orally as well as vaginal to treat that. Hope it helps.
