What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Taking Birth Control Pills?

I had unprotected sex on December 8th, he came inside of me. I was feeling nauseous and tired so I worried I was pregnant. I got my period, started my birth control. After about 2 weeks of taking the birth control my clit had become sensitive, my boobs are tender and there s a pink/ blood discharge. I m not sure if it s the birth control or a pregnancy

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, thanks for trusting HCM,
there are some few questions whose clarifications will enable us to evaluate the risk of pregnancy.
what day of your cycle was it, when you had the sexual intercourse?
do you have regular periods?
did you take any emergency contraception after the sexual intercourse?
the period you had, was it normal in quantity and duration of flow?

Pregnancy is possible if you were on your fertile period and if you didnt take emergency contraception.
However, there are many other conditions that you make you have the symptoms you are having.
My advice will be to do a home pregnancy test if its negative repeat in a week or two. if positive see a doctor.
If you have further query, do not hesitate to ask. i will be glad to respond.
Best regards
Dr Achuo
