What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Unsuccessful IVF Treatment?

Last month i went through IVF but didnt get success. Then after sometime i got periods (really dont what to call them just i can say bleeding) for 6 days then after i strarted getting spotting only and till today iam still having spotting (total will be 19 days). please why the spotting comes and if its normal process? iam really confused.
