What Causes Vaginal Spotting Along With Abdominal Pain?

Hi, I have been having some issues for the past 3 months at least. I have be spotting more often during the month instead of having a regular period. Whenever I have bleeding, I become irritated and sometimes itchy. It will last for a bout a week or two. I also have bleeding after an masturbation or sex. I am currently having abdominal pain. I ve talked with my doctor when it first started and when it reoccurred. He has not done any blood work but did a pelvic exam and said I had an STD and also tested for other STD s like gonarhia, clamidia,? (sorry not sure of the spelling), however those test came back negative. But the issue is still occurring.
