What Causes Vaginal Spotting Along With Pain In Breast?

My LMP was July 16th.. my period is never on the same exact date but it is always within that same week. Ive never missed a period. I havent had my august period yet. My fiance and i started TTC July 26th and have been having un protected sex since then. Ive been very tired lately and ive had light cramps with discharge, which i assume was ovulation. I always have the same symptoms during ovulation. Usually those symptoms go away but they havent. I now have nausea after i eat sometimes, and my nipples are sore. I also had some very light pink spotting a week ago that only lasted 3 days and went from pink to brownish. So my current symptoms ive been feeling since the spotting is light cramping, sore nipples, very faint breast pain, discharge that resembles egg whites, and a missed period. Ive taken multiple test over the month but every time its negative...am i pregnant or is my mind messing with me ??

Hi,

When bleeding occurs for a longer period than it is usually as in your case then there are few possible causes and most common is a hormone imbalance. PCOS is one of the causes of hormonal imbalance.

While some causes may be easy to treat, others can indicate a serious underlying condition. Whether you notice spotting or heavier bleeding in between periods, it’s important to see your doctor for testing, diagnosis, and treatment options.

Other potential causes of bleeding between periods include a growth in the uterus or cervix, stress, change in medications, miscarriage, vaginal dryness. Your doctor will also likely give you a physical exam, including a pelvic exam.

Diagnostic tests can help your doctor find the cause of the bleeding. Your doctor may draw blood to check hormone levels. Then the right treatment can be recommended.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
