What Causes Vaginal Spotting And Cramps In The Breasts Before Periods?
Hi, I had miscarriage 13 days ago. My Obgyn confirmed that everything had expelled successfully from my uterus. I stopped bleeding about 2 days ago, only very slight bleeding the last two days and no bleeding today. I am now experiencing cramps and breast soreness/twingy feeling, that usually occurs right before menstruation. I have not had intercourse during this time. What is happening? Does it seem like I am approaching menstruation? I was not expecting this so quickly after a miscarriage.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Vaginal spotting and breast soreness could continue for about 4 to 6 weeks following miscarriage as the hormonal levels which has changed during pregnancy could take some time to return back to normal basal levels. Hence, it may take about a couple of cycles more to return back to normal menstrual periods. You need to take symptomatic treatment for such symptoms and wait for about 4 to 6 weeks to return back to normal. In case such symptoms become more and bothersome, you need to consult Gynecologist promptly for further evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
