What Causes Vaginal Spotting And Tender Breasts Post Intake Of Postinor2?

i had unprotected sex on the 3rd of june and 7 days later i took plan b and on the 16th of june i had sex and i took postinon2 immediately then the other tablet 12 hours later.Am spotting now since 19th,doesnt stain my panties.I don t feel any breast tenderness or such.Just fatigue and dryness in my mouth

Hi,

Possible 2 is an emergency contraceptive. It acts by postponing ovulation.

You had taken it twice with gap hardly of a week. The spotting you have might be just withdrawal bleeding indicating that the hormone is now leaving the body.

At the same time the period is likely to be irregular due to hormonal i.balance caused by frequent use of high dose harmones. Please see your gynecologist if there is no period after 15 days more.
