What Causes Vaginal Spotting During Pregnancy?
hi. I am around 14 weeks pregnant and have been spotting old blood I started on sunday and yesterday it was gone but this morning it was back again...I went to the doctor Monday but I felt like she really didn t do much for me I still don t understand what could be happening

Hi my dear,
Spotting at 14 weeks of pregnancy might be a sign of possible:
- low placement of placenta
- trauma during sexual intercourse (if you had it prior to spotting)
- uro-genital infection
Can discuss further with your OG specialist to run:
- abdominal ultrasound
- urine analysis
- vaginal swab testing
- and digital examination
for further evaluation.
Try to avoid sexual intercourse until improvement, and have more rest.
