What Causes Vaginal Spotting In Pregnancy?

Hi, I ve been prescribed norethisterone to delay perio 3 tablets per day. I was using them for 4 days as I was getting married, my period didn t start 2-3 days after I stopped taking them so After 5 days of finishing taking them I did pregnancy test which was positive, however after 2 days of doing pregnancy test I started bleeding,. I did 2 tests, so could norethisterone

HI,
I understand your concern.
Norethisterone was taken to postpone your periods ( obviously with no sex before that). You were married in between, expected period to occur after stopping the pills You waited for 3 days only--
* Actually bleeding follow2s anytime within 8 days of stopping the pills.
-You performed pregnancy test twice -it was +ve.This could be due to contaminated urine sample or the container.( false +ve)NOrethidrone does not affect pregnancy test It's pregnancy hormone HCG -which makes the test +ve.
- Pregnancy is not possible while the period is postponed & you are under effect of Norethisterone & withdrawal bleeding has not occurred.
* You started bleeding on 8th day- & that was the postponed period.
So don't worry. Your cycle would be normal after this. If you want to avoid pregnancy for few months-- meet a gynecologist & start using contraceptive .
