What Causes Vaginal Spotting In The Mid Of The Menstruation Cycle?

Hi,My wife took sysron n 5mg for delaying her periods on (12th may,2014)(her normal period date 13th of every month),the course was for 2 tablets daily for 10 days,but she forgot to take 3 pills,after that her period comes normally on 19th may and lasts for 5 days,next month on 13th june night she spotted little blood in her vagina(spotting) it continues ,we consulted with doctor on 19th June,he prescribed xamic 500 for 5 days daily two tablets and ovral g for 21 days (daily two pills),on that day(19th june) she started her normal period and again it lasts for 5 to 6 days and stops,after that for 16 days there was no vaginal spotting,again from 4th july she spotted little vaginal blood(very less compare to previous month),today (10th july) she will take her last ovral g course,yesterday she stopped her spotting..can you suggest any thing?I am tensed

The cause of the current scenario most likely is the hormone imbalance created by the use of the pills to delay the cycle. Please do not worry, this will settle in a couple of months. In the future, caution must be executed while using similar medication. She may have to use the hormone course for atleast another cycle to set the cycles back on track.
